How to Sign Up

To sign up for the upcoming events that are posted, sign up at either the meetings, the forum, or just email our President, Michelle Sou, at michelle.m.sou@gmail.com! However, if you sign up for an event you MUST attend. You may cancel if the notice is 2 or more days ahead of the actual event.

Penalties

As much as I hate to believe and hear about it, there has been a reoccurrence of volunteers signing up for service events/projects weeks in advance, however, then canceling either the night before or within a very short notice. As many of you may not know, many clubs not only within our division, but within our district have already established a punishment or penalty system for their members who fail to be responsible. This system was never necessary due to the committed and responsible volunteers whom never disappointed in the past. However, there are a few volunteers that consistently cancel their commitment on a very short notice, leaving our partners whom we work with disappointed. Pleasant Grove High School Key Club is now establishing their penalty system. From the last event (Women's Festival and Tops Soccer on June 6, 2010) till the future, the penalty will be as listed below (subject to change):

For every service event that you have canceled in within a very late notice, you will lose the opportunity to participate in the next upcoming community service project. Therefore, if you fail to be responsible continuously, the amount of events that you cancel on, will be the amount of future events that you will be unable to participate in.

If you fail to contact any of the board members two days in advance about your inability to attend an event, you will be penalized.

This is a simple reminder for you all who sign up for events to be sure you are able to go. Meaning, you have found a reliable ride and that you will be free during those hours. Please be responsible for your commitment to the service event. Thank you.
